A dad’s plan to stop his 6-year-old daughter from feeling embarrassed about wetting herself at school has definitely caught the internet’s attention.

In fact, the way Ben Sowards comforted his little girl Valerie after the fact has garnered a few laughs, and a whole lotta love ?

Here’s what happened: When Ben’s wife, Connie, rang to tell him Valerie was crying and needed picking up from kindergarten after peeing her pants, he went on his way to collect her.

And to ensure she wouldn’t feel alone in her mortification, he splashed some water on his grey trousers before picking her up.

Valerie’s 17-year-old sis Lucinda captured the family moment with a few photos, which she later shared to Twitter:

More like this

"My little sis had an accident today at kindergarten & this is how my dad left to pick her up so she wouldn't feel so sad/embarrassed"

And of course it all blew up, with the majority of social media users showering praise over Ben’s parenting move.

Hmm...

We have to say we totally get Ben’s thinking behind this one, and we love that he’s gone above and beyond for his upset little girl.

But for us, personally, we’d probs have been a bit mortified if one of our dads showed up at our school looking like he’d wet himself.

Even if we were six, and we’d just wet ourselves. LOL ?

Either way, claps all around ? because judging by the above pic, it seems Valerie’s no longer feeling red-faced!

Have your say

When it comes to these things, we reckon it's totally each to their own... so would you do the same thing? Let us know on Facebook, or in the comments below.
