It seems like an innocent pic: heavily pregnant pop star and mum-of-1 Pink sitting on her kitchen floor, holding a cup of coffee, getting ready to re-heat it in the microwave.

(Cos it’s never easy to finish a hot drink when you’ve got a little one running around, right?)

Pink shared the snap on Instagram with the following caption:

“When microwaving your decaf coffee becomes an excuse to sit on the floor and rest for a while.... #help #reststop #illjustbehereifyouneedme”

But it didn’t take long for the mum-shamers to stretch out their typing fingers and guilt her over it - for several reasons. Some of which, we’ve gotta say, are completely mind-numbing.

More like this

Pink’s first pregnancy sin was to *GASP* drink a coffee while pregnant.

This is despite the fact she explicitly stated it was a decaffeinated variety (an unnecessary clarification, made probably because she was anticipating a wave of comments).

And we know that even 200mg of caffeinated coffee is completely safe to drink in moderation during pregnancy, according to the NHS and leading nutritionists.

Facts are facts - but that didn’t stop some mums and commenters from waving their judgy fingers in Pink’s face.

“Ur not supposed to be drinking coffee when ur pregnant,” one said.

“Feeding addictive stimulants to an unborn baby. Well, that’s your choice.” wrote a commenter on The Today Show’s Facebook page.

“Coffee ain’t good for baby. Shame” wrote an Instagrammer.

Another added: “I just stayed away from anything that may disturb my baby’s growth."

But that’s not all… then Pink sent some followers into a tizz because she was re-heating her drink in the microwave.

“It’s one thing that she’s drinking coffee but the second thing is that she microwaves which kills all and everything in the milk if she uses milk is not good for the baby.”

Then, finally, it was simply the fact that her microwave was low down… and that she had the audacity to sit beside it.

One wrote: “Why is the microwave oven so low?”

Sigh.

We shouldn’t fret, rage, or even cry out 'WHEN WILL THIS MADNESS END?' - because Pink managed to have the last laugh.

She shared an article about the coffee-shaming on Twitter, instructing: “Enjoy over a cup of coffee.”

And she quickly followed up with: “Uh oh. Now I'm a mommy shamer shamer.”
