Expert advice on your birth options

Worried about the birth? Find out the pros and cons of home, hospital or birth unit for the big day.

Birth and labour are the biggest worries for many pregnant women. Where to have the baby? How to make the right choice for you and your bump?

We know that these concerns feature large for BabyExpert members, so we’ve teamed up with one of the UK’s leading experts on maternity care to give YOU the chance to talk through your birth choices as well as your hopes and worries about labour.

It’s a not-to-be-missed chance to have a face-to-face consultation with Dr Gwyneth Lewis, the Government’s Maternity csar.

You’ll also meet Prima Baby’s editor Elaine Griffiths, other BabyExpert mums-to-be – and take home a super BabyExpert goody bag. Plus you’ll feature in the June issue of Prima Baby magazine.

The meeting – taking the form of an informal coffee morning – will be on Tuesday April 15 at the Department of Health in London’s Whitehall.

It’s such a great opportunity to chat in depth about the options available to you for the birth that we’d love to take along as many mums-to-be as possible to this one-off event.

If you want to join us, you must be past the first trimester of your pregnancy (ie more than 12 weeks pregnant) by April 13, and able to get to central London for the coffee morning at 10am on Tuesday April 15. We can help you out with travel expenses.
Please email with your name, email details and telephone number (home and mobile if possible), letting us know how many weeks pregnant you are and what kind of birth you are considering (home, hospital, birth unit).
We need to hear from you by 5pm on Friday April 11.
