In a nutshell

An excellent potty to keep at home, this is affordable and great for boys, but it's not an ideal size for travel

Affordable and easy to clean, the Baby Weavers Premium Potty Chair Silver Lining is a hard to fault.

In many ways, the Baby Weavers Premium Potty Chair Silver Lining from Kiddicare looks like a small loo, with its white and grey styling. My 2-and-a-half-year-old Nathaniel loved the design of it when it arrived and was happy to sit on it on next to me.

It was designed to fit in with Baby Weavers 'Essentials' range, which is for everyday use and at an affordable price-point, and definitely complements Kiddicare's value for less ethos. Other reviews of the potty say it is comfortable, easy to use and clean, durable and one reviewer said it was so good she went and bought two more for the grandparents' houses!

What we love

With an RRP £14.99 but being sold for £9.99 at the time of review, the Baby Weavers Premium Potty Chair Silver Lining is excellent value for money and is well worth a try. It may not have any bells and whistles compared with others on the market, but it does the job well and I think could actually be priced a lot higher!

Having tried many potties out with Nathaniel over the months, I can say that one size does not fit all, especially when it comes to boys and their tendency to overshoot, however this potty was just perfect for us.

The unisex design means it has longevity when it comes to potty training more than one child.

I loved that the insert is removable and of a decent size. Having tried lots of potties, this was by far the easiest to remove, empty and keep clean. It held a fair amount and there was room for a bit of loo paper when Nathaniel graduated to wiping himself.

Choosing a potty for a boy can be difficult, as I always worried the splashguard wasn't high enough and Nathaniel would wee over the top, but that didn't once happen with this model. There was also plenty of legroom, which was great as he is very tall for his age.

Underneath the chair there is an anti-slip lining all the way across the bottom and it didn't once move when Nathaniel got up.

What to watch out for

The only criticism I have of the potty is that it’s quite bulky and not very easy to fit into the footwell of a car if you need to take a potty with you on car journeys.

Who is the best Baby Weavers Premium Potty Chair Silver Lining for?

Parents after a budget buy that works, especially for boys who don't know how to control their aim.

MadeForMums verdict

A great budget buy, this potty also performs. Thought appears to have gone into the design of the Premium Potty Chair, with its size, design for the child and ease of cleaning all being noteworthy.
