Does anyone know why these tests are NOT to be used by folk with PCOS? Yet other ones just warn that the may notsee suitable / may give false readings? I presume it must have something to do with the fact that they also detect Estrogen, but surely not ewith one with PCOS has problems with that hormone?

Thanks. It does but it doesn't make me any clearer why you are *not* to use the advanced
ones but don't have the same stern warning with the normal OPKs if you see what I mean!

I'm not sure and I don't have PCOS so I'm not really qualified to comment here but I know LH levels can be high when you have PCOS so OPKs can be inaccurate. Maybe it's just because of that?? I'm not sure if PCOS effects oestrogen levels. Maybe someone more informed than me will come along soon with some good advice.
Btw, I'd like to add that I'm currently using the advanced CBD OPKs but I wouldn't buy them again. I've learned a lot about my body in the last year and I don't get anything extra out of these OPKS from the ic ones. Different things suit different people but for me, when this box is finished I won't be buying any more. As I said, that's just simple because I've had a lot of cycles to be able to detect the signs. I think they will be really good for people just starting out and trying to understand everything.

Choc Apple have you found them to be accurate? I'm not sure they have been for me and I'm trying to work out why.
I used a couple last cycle (very long cycle so was using them sparingly along with 'signs' such as EWCM etc) and had a static smiley, then AF 17 days later. I didn't use them alongside IC OPKs, but have done this time, and I've had a static but negative IC OPK then a postivie IC OPK 3 days later.... (I'm now wondering if they were wrong last cycle by 3 days - taking my LP to 14 days rather than 17). Totally over thinking it all, but like you say - with products as expensive as these I'd like to know whether they are accurate or not so I know whether to waste anymore money on them!

Yes, they have been accurate Mrs A but my cycles vary in length so 2 out of the 3 cycles I've used them I've ov early and ended up going straight to solid face (peak). Last cycle I got 4 days flashing (high) then it went solid on day 5. I've also been continuing my evening ic OPKs alongside them (I'm in OPK overload here!!) and they are all tying in. So yes, for me, they do work quite accurately although I think the information says you'll get 2 days flashing (high) then solid (peak). I've heard people can get flashing faces for over a week before a solid one so I guess it doesn't always just follow the trend???
What time of day have you been using the CBDs? I use mine with FMU then use the ic's as normal after work so between 5-6pm.
Thats strange about the positives on the CBD but the ic's being different. I've used ic's a lot longer then the CBD and I always get accurate results with them so, for myself, I'd trust them more than the digital. I've also got the normal digitals and I use them to back up a line I'm not sure about on the ic.
Regarding your LP - I think its more likely that its 14 days than 17 and last cycle you ovulated when the ic gave you your positive, but its not impossible to have a 17 day LP. I'd continue with the digitals but still use your ic's as well for confirmation. Also, its cheaper!!!!
With myself, I also get ovulation pains so I kinda know when things are happening which makes it slightly easier.

Thanks Choc. Its last cycle that I had AF 17 days after a static smiley - I wasn't using IC OPKs alongside them then as didn't have any. Its this cycle that I've had a + on IC OPK 3 days after static face on the CBDs! All very confusing. Guess I'll have to wait to see when AF turns up (although hopefully a BFP turns up in her place!!!) and work out from there which seems most accurate!

Sorry, I didn't read your post properly!!
I hope a BFP turns up instead of AF too!!
Its all very confusing this TTC thing. People told me for years all I had to do is have unprotected sex and I'd get pregnant. Wrong!!!! lol

Yes! I've actually been told I 'over think' it.... Perhaps, but unfortunately some of us have to :-(
