Does anyone know if using a hot tub around about ovulation time makes any difference? Also to the man for his swimmers too??
just wondered whether the intense heat affected anything or would it be ok as it's only for a short period of time??

I really don't think a hot tub would make any difference tbh. I know that men should be careful not to regularly overheat their swimmers but i'm pretty sure it wouldn't have an effect unless you were in it all day everyday.

Thanks AR. we were away last cycle around my ov time and just wondered if this would have made a difference in any way.
I don't think it's recommended for men as their testes need to be cool to create healthy sperm. I don't think it affects ovulation but is not recommended during pregnancy as increased risk of defects. I assume a shorter period of time would be better than a long session or going frequently.

I remember reading something about pregnant women not having hot baths etc but I'm not entirely sure on the reasons why. Not heard of any short term use causing issues with ovulation though

They shouldn't be used in pregnancy (iirc its to do with fetal distress, I think it can cause deafness too)
