Rupert Hill and Jenny Platt became first-time parents last weekend
Former Coronation Street stars Rupert Hill and Jenny Platt became parents for the first time last weekend after Jenny gave birth to a baby girl.
The real-life couple, who played Weatherfield lovers Jamie Baldwin and Violet Wilson, welcomed daughter Matilda, who weighed 7lb 10oz, on Sunday. Rupert announced the happy news on Twitter. “Today I am a father and my daughter is called Matilda. Jen is fine too.”
A source close to the pair added, “Rupert and Jenny are absolutely thrilled. They couldn’t be happier with their baby girl. The baby was two weeks overdue and they were so pleased to finally meet her.”
