Urrgh! School lunches revealed in Twitter pics
Can you identify the foods in these pictures?
In our day, we were lucky if we got corned beef and chips followed by custard with a film-like skin. But now, thanks to Twitter, we can see exactly what school lunches look like – and they still don't look very appealing!
Pupils in America are sharing pictures of their school meals with the hashtag #ThanksMichelleObama.
The first lady has pushed for healthier school meals and new standards were implemented in 2012 that require more fruits, vegetables and whole grains in an effort to combat childhood obesity. The pictures have proved so popular, the hashtag was trending in the US last week

"Had a very #healthylunch today. The apple definitely made up for the "mystery mush" #ThanksMichelleObama," Hunter Whitney tweeted about his meal, pictured above left.

Meanwhile, David Suderback tweeted a picture of his lunch. "Call this Mac and cheese?" he tweeted with the picture above right.
Another picture showed a burger with some yellow mush. "This is my lunch. I'm in high school. #ThanksMichelleObama," Maya Wuertz tweeted (above left).
Another teen shared a picture of her lunch (above right) that was supposed to be baked beans. "Yum school lunches #thanksmichelleobama," Jess Sency tweeted.
