Did Kim dress North West in a bulletproof vest?
And could that explain the tot's tantrum at her dad's fashion show in New York…
When North West attended her dad's Adidas show at New York Fashion Week, she kicked up quite a stink. In fact her tantrum on the front raised more than a few fashionista's eyebrows. We don't blame the 20-month-old for fussing. Imagine having to sit still while models walk up and down the catwalk… bor-ing!
But now Kim Kardashian has revealed there might be something more behind North's restlessness – a rather cumbersome outfit. Well, a bulletproof vest to be exact!
The vest is a miniature version of one created for her dad Kanye's Adidas collection, so may just be for show rather than stopping bullets. "Look at my little cutie!!! #BabyYeezyBulletProofVest," Kim tweeted.
Amongst all the ripped sweatshirts and camouflage on the catwalk, the black Velcro vest didn't look out of place – but we're not so sure how appropriate it is for toddlers - or how uncomfortable.
During fashion week, Kim has really pushed the boundaries of kids' fashion – but not always to a good reception. Last week, Kim dressed North in a fur jacket. We don't know if it's real fur or not, and Kim wasn't saying, but it raised the hackles of animal rights organisation PETA, which claimed that North wouldn't choose to wear fur from a real animal.
More like this
“Kids are naturally drawn to animals and sympathetic to their plight, and there's no reason to think that North is any different," PETA’s UK Director Mimi Bekhechi said. “If the fur coat that she's been dressed in is real, animals have suffered for vanity, something that we're sure neither North nor any little girl her age would support.”
