British pushchair manufacture iCandy has just revealed a brand new buggy – the Strawberry 2.
Showcased exclusively at the Kind & Jugend baby and toddler trade fair in Cologne, Germany, the new pushchair is the updated version of the incredibly popular Strawberry, a lightweight pram.
But it won’t be out in UK shops until the end of the year.
Coming 4 years after the launch of the original Strawberry back in 2010, this newer version is suitable from birth and now has a carrycot that is positioned higher on the chassis, making parent and baby interaction easier.
iCandy has also improved the pushchair’s under-seat basket, making it bigger by 34%,while the seat unit can now hold a maximum weight of up to 25kg, which is approximately the weight of a 5-year-old child.
And for parents who like variety, the sun canopy (aka iCandy flavour hood) is interchangeable between the carrycot and seat unit.
Still coming with many of the original Strawberry features, the pram is rear and forward-facing, has the Memory auto alignment and a one-hand Step & Stand Fold action.
But this new Strawberry – unlike its predecessor – comes at a more reasonable price. Still at the higher-end of the market; the complete Strawberry 2 package (minus the car seat) will cost £550.
And for those not on a budget, the pushchair boasts an array of hi-tech additional features and comes with an enviable celebrity-like status. Plus you are guaranteed to turn heads when out and about.
