What we love
The Baby Weavers Premium Potty Silver Lining is really easy to use and easy to clean. The smooth shape means there’s nowhere for anything to lurk. The round bowl means there are no difficult-to-clean corners.
The wide base – with a double-width rim – ensures that this potty is likely to stay put and not get accidentally knocked over.
The silver handle trim does improve the look of the potty slightly, although its gentle curves mean it’s quite an attractive piece of equipment.
The support shape at the back of the potty is quite comfortable for a child to rest their lower back against if they seem to be in for a long sit.
It’s a very lightweight potty and one of the least bulky on the market making it ideal for moving around or taking out and about.
What to watch for
Cormac is approaching 3 and quite a big lad. The potty looked quite small for him, although actually it doesn’t measure much smaller than comparable ones. Where it is too small for him is in the depth of the splashguard at the front. It was fine if he was “positioned” on the potty and tucked in, but if he moved around and leaned back against the rest at the rear, the splashguard didn’t work for him.
Without a hand hole or somewhere to easily grip the potty, once it is full it could be quite hard to pick up to empty.
Cormac also complained that it wasn’t very comfy, but I think that was more of a general protest at potty training. However, there are no added features to really boost the comfort for a child who is using it for quite a long stretch.
Who is the Baby Weavers Premium Potty Silver Lining best for?
Grandparents after a good-value option for visiting potty-training tots, or parents after a potty to take away with them.
A basic potty that does exactly what it needs to but nothing more. Ideal as a second potty or for out and about, although not the best for bigger boys.
