Cheap buggies can be the perfect solution for holidays, day trips or for older toddlers who occasionally need a place to sit when their legs get tired.

While these pushchairs may not have the same frills as the mid to high-end buggies or the more premium lightweights, they do offer fantastic value for money plus reliability.

When you don't want to blow your budget there are plenty of affordable strollers on the market, and it's worth remembering that most are designed to be used from 6 months.

Here are the best strollers for under £50

  • Red Kite Push Me Lite, £21 - suitable from 6 months

At the lower-end of the baby product market, Red Kite Push Me Lite costs a very modest £21.

Saying that, the price does not reflect the quality of the product which was given 3.5 stars out of 5 by our MFM reviewer for its compact fold, lightweight and manoeuvrability.

However it is a very basic pushchair; there's no headrest, only one seating position (so no recline) and no accessories.
