Avocado and pear puree

Use fresh or tinned pears for this delicious green puree, suitable for a baby's first solid food

  • 1 whole medium avocado
  • 100g fresh pears or tinned in juice


  • Step 1

    If using fresh pears, peel, chop and place in a saucepan. Cover with boiling water. Cook on a low heat until softened. If using tinned pears, drain well.

  • Step 2

    Cut the avocado in half and remove the stone.

  • Step 3

    Scoop out the flesh and chop roughly.

  • Step 4

    Drain the pear and add to the avocado. Blend until you reach the required consistency.
