The British Toy and Hobby Association has revealed its pick of the best new toys for 2011
Although you might still be recovering from the Christmas toy overload, this is the time of year that toy experts start making their predictions on what cool gadgets and gizmos will be at the top of your children's toy wish list. And we have the 34 hot items that've been awarded 'Best New Toy' at this year's London Toy Fair.
Put through their paces by a panel of independent toy retailers, these winning toys for 2011 were announced by the British Toy and Hobby Association's chairwoman, Christine Nicholls, at the Toy Fair yesterday.
While favourite names you'll recognise from your own childhood, such as LEGO and Meccano, made the list, licensed toys have fared well, with brands such as Ben 10, Harry Potter, Hello Kitty and Star Wars topping the toy chart.
These newbies went down a storm at the show, so take a look through the image gallery below to get clued up on the Squinkies, Moshi Monsters and Zoobles - and stay tuned for our pick of the coolest toys at the show!
