Sweet and sour chicken

This delicious sweet and sour chicken recipe can be enjoyed by the whole family, suitable from 9 months

  • 250g skinless chicken fillet, diced into small chunks
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 0.5 whole red pepper
  • 0.5 whole green pepper
  • 3 whole green bean
  • 0.5 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp reduced salt soy sauce
  • 0.5 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 0.5tsp ginger
  • 0.5 clove garlic (optional)


  • Step 1

    Heat the oil in a wok and add the chicken until thoroughly browned.

  • Step 2

    Add the peppers, beans and garlic and stir fry for a further 2 minutes.

  • Step 3

    In a bowl mix together the soy sauce, corn flour, vinegar and ginger.

  • Step 4

    Add to the wok and bring to the boil.

  • Step 5

    Simmer for a couple of minutes and serve.

  • This is a great dish that the whole family can share – just up the quantities and serve with rice or noodles.
