These non identical little lads were born just 1 minute apart and weighed 5 pounds 10 ounces and 5 pounds 4 ounces.
While many celebrities indulge in quirky names for their youngsters, singing sensation Celine and her hubby put a lot of thought into what they named their children, claiming that they want them to be inspired by their names.
Nelson was named after Nelson Mandela. The couple only met the great leader once but they said they were incredibly impressed by him and gained a sense of who he was as a person. Eddy on the other hand is named after producer Eddy Marnay, who produced Celine’s first 5 records and was a father figure for her.
Names: Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline
Birthday: 12 July 2008
Parents: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
Where: Lenval hospital, in Nice, France by caesarean
These boy-girl twins weighed about 5 pounds each when they were born. They arrived earlier than expected as their original due date was 19th August.
Angelina touchingly used her mother’s name, Marcheline, for daughter Vivienne’s middle name as a tribute to her mum, who sadly died in 2007.
Tots Knox and Vivienne are going to have plenty of fun growing up in the ever growing Jolie-Pitt clan with all of their brothers and sisters. The twins are the 5th and 6th children in the family, which includes adopted son Maddox, from Cambodia, daughter Zahara from Ethiopia, Pax from Vietnam and biological daughter Shiloh. Phew what a family!
Knox and Vivienne are already used to the limelight as their parents sold their first pictures to Hello! and People magazines for a staggering $14 million!

It may seem as if the girls have been given typically strange celeb names, but they are actually named after both their great-grandmothers. D’Lila is named after Kim’s grandma Lila Star, while Jessie has the same name as Diddy’s grandmother, Jessie Smalls.
Diddy and Kim also have son Christian (born 1998) who is big brother to the twins, and Diddy has son Justin (born 1993) as well with ex-girlfriend designer Misa Hylton-Brim.

Sarah Jessica Parker introduces surrogate twin daughter.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Names: Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge
Birthday: 22nd June 2009
Parents: Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick
Where: By a surrogate mother in East Ohio Regional Hospital
Sarah Jessica’s gorgeous twin girls were carried by surrogate Michelle Ross, after she admitted that she couldn’t conceive naturally.
The names Elwell and Hodge both come from Sarah’s side of the family.
“I guess I think there are things about it that I hope have made me a better mother. I’ve had a lot of opportunities to do the things that I wanted to do, like sleep. I have slept till 11:00 for a lot of years. Honestly, the only thing that I’m concerned about is the energy: I hope I can maintain the energy. I think about all the years I’ve spent parenting James Wilkie and everything I put into it, and there are two of them,” SJP tells Vogue magazine about her concerns about double trouble!
The couple also have 8-year-old son James Wilkie, and confess that they are very hands on parents. “We don’t have any live-in help. We’re pretty hands-on parents. That’s something that’s important to both of us, and we don’t shirk it, because what’s the point in having a family if you’re not going to really participate in it, you know?” Sarah explains.
Mariah Carey gets her bump out!
Names: Monroe and Moroccan Scott
Birthday: 30th April 2011
Parents: Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon
Where: Los Angeles, California by caesarean
Little Monroe was born first out of the pair, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, followed by Moroccan at 5 pounds 6 ounces. The tots’ birthday also happens to be Mariah and Nick’s wedding anniversary, with Nick tweeting after the birth “My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life!” The twins have already been nicknames Roc and Roe!
Monroe’s name is a tribute to blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe, while brother Moroccan Scott’s name was influenced by the décor at dad Nick’s apartment when he proposed to singing diva Mariah. Scott is a Cannon family tradition, as it is Nick’s middle name as well as his grandma’s maiden name. Monroe was deliberately not given a middle name to mirror her famous mum.
Mariah made the most of her baby bump by painting it! Yep, she painted a colourful butterfly on her stomach, with one blue wing and one pink wing to represent the different sexes of her babies. She also wrote “dem babies” across the top of her belly, using her affectionate nickname for her babies. She posted the cute picture on Twitter.
“It’s crazy because you can see like my son is definitely more like me. He’s like chill, laid back…but my daughter is her mum’s child. She’s like a diva. When she wants something she’s instantly crying, letting you know. She’s going to be a little handful!” Nick said during an interview with Perez Hilton.
