Sparkly and cake shaped – what more could you want? These unusual decorations look good enough to eat.
Best stocking filler under £2 – Magic Sketcher, £1.25

Best Christmas dress up – Christmas Pudding, £15
It’s that time of year again where MFM advises…nay…orders you to go forth and dress your little one up as a Christmas pudding. He or she may not thank you as a teen when the photographs come out, but at least they’ll keep you happy in your dotage.
MFM best pressies by age
1 year olds – Letterbox Pull Along Rocky, £25
When it comes to little ones just hitting toddlerhood, you can almost guarantee your gift will be a hit if it’s somehow related to animals! This pull-along is a cute, but classic, idea. Can we have one too?
2 year olds – MUJI Indoor Football, £12.95
We adore toys that can be played with, without any set rules, batteries or ear-plugs needed! Roll it, push it, kick it, pass it, try to balance it on your head – it’s a great skill builder that can be loved when the weather’s rubbish outside.
3 year olds – Halfords Balance Buddy Bike, £39.99
MFM loves cycling, so anything that gets children into its fun and freedom gets our vote.
4-7 Year olds – LeapFrog Leapster Explorer console with camera, £44.89
We know little ones love taking photos and videos and this fabulous handheld console lets them draw over their handiwork – and even make a music video. Puts our home movies to shame!
8-10 year olds – Hasbro Games Bop It XT, £21.49
Say goodbye to peace and quiet this Christmas Day, thanks to this addictive toy that you’ll want to nick from your child. This is the new XT version, with an added ‘shake’ command. Warning: you will be humiliated as your 8 year old trounces you…
MFM best pressies by your children’s interests
A great gift for a 3 year old, this can provide hours of play and then be easily packed and stowed away. The fact that it’s wooden means even as it wears it‘ll still be charming.
Dinosaurs – Gund Dinosaurs Soft Toy, £9.50
We want all of these! You can be sure Steggy will get more kisses than mum and dad, pretend drinks of water and lots of love. Putting old baby shoes on Steggy’s feet is also a unexpectedly winning move!
TV and movie themed gifts – Disney Pixar Cars 2 Remote Control Lightning McQueen, £25
If your children can’t get enough of Cars 2, this remote control car with a turbo boost button will keep even super fans happy. We might even let the kids have a go…
Disney! – Disney Guess Who, £24.99
Here at MFM HQ we love it when a classic game gets a Disney makeover so we’re putting Disney Guess Who at the top of our Christmas list this year. From Disney Princesses through to favourite Disney animals this will keep everyone entertained for hours.
Mini scientists – National Geographic Star Planetarium, £24.99
What future scientist could resist a bit of stargazing? With this fun and educational toy the MFM team will be learning our Marses from our moons over the holiday season. And watch out, we’ll be testing your knowledge next year!
LEGO – Woody Lego Minifigure Alarm Clock, £24.99
As Lego continues to be build on its bricks and move into watches, storage boxes and fun books, we loved this Woody clock. A giant minifigure with movable arms and legs, he makes bedtime heaps more fun.
Crafty gifts – Fun with Wool, £8.29
Learning to knit with your mum is an essential part of childhood for boys and girls (whether you keep it up or not!) so we love this kit that comes with safe, plastic needles to begin your child’s career as a fashion designer…
Best pressies for the adults in the family

On our mission to ban boring dad gifts, we came across this absolute winner – a toy car that can tackle the hugest mountain of toys and wrapping paper… the whole family will be dying for a go before long!

When it comes to celebrating, a good bottle of bubbly makes all the difference. Having tried and tested various bottles from well-known supermarkets, the MFM team picked out Marks and Sparks offering as the best. This isn’t just Champagne…this is MFM approved Champagne!
