Following weeks of gushing about her dream of becoming a mum, featuring Silver Cross prams in her Brits performance and defending young mums, Lily Allen has finally announced her happy news – she’s three-months pregnant!
The 25-year-old songstress revealed her baby joy after recently pulling out of scheduled music events due to ‘illness’, and being spotted on stage last month sporting a suspicious looking bump and laying off the booze and cigarettes.
“It brings me great pleasure to tell you that Sam and I are expecting our first child,” Lily has said. “It goes without saying that we are both absolutely delighted.” She also posted a picture on Twitter of her pregnancy – which made the front page news!
Lily and 32-year-old Sam Cooper are rumoured to have told close friends and family their news at the weekend. Lily has a few gigs left until she retires from her music career, which will see her off the radar for a few years.
The singer’s joy comes two years after she sadly suffered a miscarriage.
