Mums-to-be reveal who their preferred birth partners would be

Dads-to-be, best friends and their own mums all make the list


Although 78% of mums want the baby’s dad to be their birth partner, one in 10 mums-to-be believe that they would get ‘annoyed’ by their presence during birth, according to a new study.


The research, from also revealed that 15% of mums-to-be are worried that their partner will try and make jokes during labour to lighten the mood.

Only 39% said that they wanted someone else present instead when in labour, with 26% wanting their mum and 13% wanting their best friend by their side.
