Spicy egg boats

Suitable from 12 months. Makes 12 boats



6 hard-boiled eggs, cold

1 tsp Dijon mustard

3 tbsps mayonnaise

Dash of paprika

1 red pepper

1 green pepper

1 yellow pepper



  • Step 1

    Peel the eggs and slice each one in half lengthways to make the boats.

  • Step 2

    Carefully scoop out the yolks, place in a bowl and mash.

  • Step 3

    Add the mustard (to taste) and mayonnaise to the mashed yolks and mix until smooth.

  • Step 4

    Spoon the mix back into the hollow of each boiled egg half and sprinkle with paprika.

  • Step 5

    To make the sails, cut the peppers into 3cm wide strips, then cut each strip into 3cm-sized squares before slicing diagonally in half to make the triangular sails. 

  • Step 6

    Stick a sail into each egg filling and serve immediately.
