Things are getting ever more lumpy on the texture front, with the likes of pasta carbonara and chicken and couscous hotpot to intrigue your baby’s palate. And as a fabulous finale this week, we’re introducing an aubergine and red pepper baby curry. Oh yes, babies can eat curry too! Rest assured, this exciting recipe has been crafted with your baby’s sensitive tastebuds in mind.

This week’s shopping list

Fruit: 1 large avocado, 150g dried apricots,

Veg: 1 small onion, 1 small red pepper, 400g tinned tomatoes, 100g aubergines, 2 medium potatoes, 2.5 carrots, 225g sweet potato, 100g cauliflower, 40g frozen sweetcorn

Meat: 50g chicken mince

Fish: 75g cod fillets

Fridge: 30ml milk, unsalted butter, 150ml apple juice,  lemon juice, 600ml milk or greek yoghurt,  40g cheese

Herbs: fresh mint, mixed herbs, cinnamon

Cupboard ingredients: curry powder, garlic powder, 100g cous cous, pitta bread
